The video above is very anti-GMO. This is an example of a biased video, meaning that it has an objective to show one side of an issue. (Most advertisements are biased - it isn't wrong as long as you know that it is only showing one side and is factual.)

2. Identify at least five examples that give a strong argument for why GMOs are bad for our health and the planet.
3.Explain these points in summary form.

i agree with what gmo said. not everyone will agree with me ,but i can see why because they are trying to see if they can pass a law about the gmo because so they can see if the foods are safe enough that we can eat. another reason why i think that it is not safe to eat because they way that they are put the chamical in the crops so they are able to test them. when we eat the crops we will get sick because what they are doing to the crops.

DeleteI agree with the statement that gmos are bad for the earth. They stunt natural plant growth by adding poision to them. Once the bugs grow immune to the poisions they turn into "superbugs'', makeing them more durabal so we have to spray even more stronger and potent poisins in the world.

DeleteIm not to sure if i wanna agree with the GMO. Because to use the the GMO we use a lot of chemicals to control weeds. With the chemicals we use we are polluting the air,drinking water and maybe the foods we're eating.

DeleteGMO's have harmful side-effects, people can get cancer and many other diseases from geneticly inhansed fruits an vegetables. large amounts of energy and fossil fule is still used to make synthetic fertilizes.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with the points given it this video that are informant on GMO(Genetically Modified Organisms). I believe that GMO's are bad because they have no guarantee that this process is safe. Unpredictable and uncontrollable results can come out of using GMO products. It is said that GMO increases crop yield potential, But it doesn't it actually kills them. SDS is carried in GMO's wich is a plant disease that causes plants to turn yellow and die. More that 50 countries has banned GMO crops. But not the U.S. Why? Although the U.S has not joined the banned on GMO associated items. But on November 6th they are passing the peoples right to know genetically engineered food act witch unites consumers and food growers. wich is good for us so we do not consume GMO related foods. In my opinion GMO are our enemy!!!!!!!

DeleteGMO's were first said to be a great thing in the ongoing study of agriculture, now people are starting to realize the effects. GMO's are not as healthy and nutrient rich as organic foods. Monsanto and others are putting bad genes in the seed so farmers must buy more every year. Pollution is huge from all of the chemicals. Health issues are becoming a big problem and it leads back to GMO's. Crops can withstand certain herbacides and are becoming super weeds and bugs are also becoming super immune to petacides

I agree that GMO's are bad for our planet because GMO's have some harmful side-effects, also they stunt the growth of the plants by injecting poison into them, and when the bugs get immune to the poison by eating the plants they turn into crazy bugs.
